Q:

What are the cut-off times for Inter account transfers?

A:

You can make Sterling Inter Account Transfers (IATs) up until 23:45 every day of the week including weekends. For the transfer to be made you must have sufficient funds available in your account and the transfer authorised by this time.

Transfers made after 18:15 on Monday to Friday, or any time at the weekend, will continue to update on your balances as soon as they’re processed, but will show on your statement with a posting date of the next working day. As a result they won’t be included in the end of day position for the calculation of charges and interest.

For a transfer to be recorded on your statement as the same working day, it needs to be fully authorised before 18:15 on Monday to Friday, so that it can be included in the end of day processing.

For currency transfers the cut off time is 16.30.
