How do I set up payment notifications in Bankline Mobile?

A:

You can now notify your colleagues of a pending payment for approval. You can do this when raising a new payment in Bankline Mobile. To do this follow these steps:

  1. Tap ‘Raise a domestic payment’ and enter the payment information
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the final screen and tap ‘Notify payment approvers’  
  3. Select the user(s) you wish to notify and tap ‘Raise payment’

Users will appear in the approver list if they’ve registered for the Bankline Mobile app, have the privilege to approve the payment and opted in to receiving notifications.

When the payment’s raised, the notification will be sent straight away to the selected user(s).

 

Do I need to ‘opt in’ to receive Bankline Mobile notifications?

If you’re a payment approver and would like to receive notifications from your colleagues, you’ll need to opt in. To do this:

  1. Tap the ‘Approve’ tab
  2. Tap ‘Find out more’ in the team notifications option at the top of this screen
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to opt in
  4. Tap ‘Allow’ when you see a pop up asking if you’d like to receive notifications from the app

If you tap ‘Don’t allow’ on the pop up, you can change this later by going into your device settings and turning on notifications for the Bankline Mobile app.

If you can't see 'Find out more' after tapping the approve tab, you'll need to open your devices settings and switch on/off notifications from there. 

 

Why can’t I find who I’m looking for on the approver list?

Users will appear in this list if they’ve registered for the Bankline Mobile app, have the privilege to approve the payment and opted in to receiving notifications.

 

I’m raising a payment from a template, why can’t I notify payment approvers?

Notifications are currently only available when raising a new payment from scratch.
